Olfactory Description: Perfumery - Fresh, thyme, leathery, sweet.

Application Information:

Perfumery - In concentrations up to 5% can give excellent lift and volume to a fragrance. It is very effective when used with sage, armoise, lavender, patchouli, green and minty notes. It adds freshness to agrumen and citrus complexes, and can give depth and diffusion to floral, aldehydic, chypre, leathery and oriental types.

Although primarily a material for functional perfumery, it has a marked effect in hydroalcoholics, even at very low levels. Thymoxane has been evaluated in a wide variety of media for compatibility and stability of odour and colour. These tests have shown that in the concentrations at which it is normally used, it is effective in fragrances for: Concentrates, toilet waters, aerosol and spray colognes, antiperspirants, soaps, detergent powders (high and low foam types), liquid detergents, bleach (hypochlorite).
