Application Information: |

In speciality fragrances, where its fresh, green note allows novel effects to be obtained. It blends well with the rose alcohols and other standard perfumery compounds.
It is becoming increasingly important as a modifier for hydroxycitronellal, especially where it is required to increase initial impact. Although very effective in fresh floral perfumes, it is also of value in ylang-ylang bases.
Methoxycitronellal PQ has been tested in a variety of media for compatibility and stability of odour and colour. These tests show that in the concentrations at which it is normally used it is effective in fragrances for: Concentrates, alcoholic lotions and toilet waters, perfumed aerosol sprays, deodorant aerosols, creams and emulsified lotions, soaps, shampoos, detergents, fabric softeners. |
